Raising Funds Through Football for Brain Tumour Research

Tubby FC have got a special delivery for all our fans this weekend! We are welcoming a team of local workers for the Royal Mail this Sunday 17th August to St Benedicts RUFC for a charity game to raise funds through football for Brain Tumour ResearchKick Off at 1pm.

Some of our current players and former players work for the Royal Mail so this will be a special game in many ways for a great cause.

The bar will be open for spectators, with fundraising activities and the Man Utd vs Arsenal match to follow, is there a better Sunday?

After some fantastic fundraising games and a brilliant performance to win in the league against Hilltop and take things to the final day, Tubby FC are back in competitive action on Wednesday 14th May at 6pm down at St Benedicts RUFC against Border City Greens in a double-header title decider in the Social Inclusion & Wellbeing League.

Upcoming Fundraising Match Day – Friday 2nd MayLee ‘Bazza’ Jenkinson Memorialvs The Cat

Friday (May 2nd) we play our annual charity match at St Benedicts RUFC against The Cat at 6PM in memory of Lee ‘Bazza’ Jenkinson, who was a legend on the field as well as off it and played in many past Cat vs Tubbies games.

We are raising funds for two amazing causes, British Heart Foundation and Epilepsy Action. We’re proud to announce ProjectCX as our Match Day Sponsor and will have other sponsorships announced prior to the game.

We will be running a huge football card at £10 a team with a chance to win £500. If you’d like a team, to donate to our fundraising total or have any potential raffle prizes to donate, please contact Ian Flembob Fleming. All donations are gratefully received.

Most importantly, get yourself along on the day to support the causes and take part in our fundraising activities.

Sunday 13th April at 1.30pm, Tubby FC are welcoming Bolton based Talking Football to Newlands Avenue in a return fixture from last year. They are a three year old team and similar to Tubbies, were set up to give men a platform to help their mental health and wellbeing through playing football.

2nd Donation Made To Local Food Bank

All selected squad members for yesterday’s game and officials of the project brought a Tin of branded foods. all tins have this morning been donated to Greenbank Community Centre. This is the 2nd drop off for their food bank and be more to come. Centre absolutely delighted and will be offered to the people who need it.
