Friday (May 2nd) we play our annual charity match at St Benedicts RUFC against The Cat at 6PM in memory of Lee ‘Bazza’ Jenkinson, who was a legend on the field as well as off it and played in many past Cat vs Tubbies games.

We are raising funds for two amazing causes, British Heart Foundation and Epilepsy Action. We’re proud to announce ProjectCX as our Match Day Sponsor and will have other sponsorships announced prior to the game.

We will be running a huge football card at £10 a team with a chance to win £500. If you’d like a team, to donate to our fundraising total or have any potential raffle prizes to donate, please contact Ian Flembob Fleming. All donations are gratefully received.

Result from Game Day 4

TubbyFC 3 – Carlisle City Deaf 0

TubbyFc welcome Carlisle City Deaf DC to St Benedicts for the return fixture in the Cumberland FA Social Inclusion & well being league. The previous meeting ended in a 2-1 defeat for TubbyFC. The 1st half of the game was looking like it was going to be a 0-0 scoreline. Until the 40th Min when, Dave Pennington put in a lovely cross which met the head of Kieran Moynes to put into the goal coming off a CCDFC player. Some would say before the goal but Moynes’y was certain the ball was over the line before hitting the opposition player.

Onto the second half and TubbyFC grabbed their second early on when Niah Vaughan found Cobie Mellon to fire the ball past the opposition keeper. Cobie again found the net in similar fashion this time Wayne Jackson providing the assist for Cobie to put past the keeper. Jordan McCabe was denied the 4th goal for TubbyFC which was ruled off Side by the Referee.

Todays Man Of The Match for the Referee & Tubby Media was Steven McCourt
