TubbyFC vs Celtic Legends FFIT

TubbyFC’s first home game of the season seen Celtic Legends FFIT make the trip down from Glasgow on the final bank holiday weekend of 2023.
TubbyFC supporters made the lads welcome with some lads sporting their rangers tops creating a home from home experience.
The game was delayed by 30 minutes. On 15 Mins Celtic Supporter doubled TubbyFC’s tally converting a assist from Luke Bullock. 5 Mins later it was Glenn Nicholls turn to get himself a goal executing a perfect header from a corner from Anthony Burton.
Between 32 mins & 43 Mins Steven Priestley grabbed him self a hatrick 2 of them assists from Kieran Moynes
Into the Second half TubbyFC Coach Ran the changes making several substitutions and within 4 mins it was Celtic who hit back with a goal helped by some sloppy defending by TubbyFC

Stuart Metcalfe
Why did I join Tubby FC.
I joined the team as I was at my heaviest weight I have ever been and didn’t like what I could see in the mirror. My confidence was shot and struggling with depression. I was so up and down with my life. Plus I wanted to become a part of a team.
How this group has helped me.
Through this group I now do at least an hours exercise every week. When we either train or play. I have also got my act together and try run or walk almost every evening after I finish work. I have also became a lot more aware of what I am eating. In doing this I have managed to be the biggest loser twice in a row and have lost over 2.5 stone so far.
On another note I have lived on the estate for almost 9 years and I feel I have made more friends in the last 3 months because of the team. The best thing is we all have the same things in common. Football, mental health and weight.

Joined as one of my mates played already and seemed to be enjoying it. Thought I’d give it a go. Always been a big football fan but never the fittest of people. Been welcomed brilliantly and really enjoying it so far!
