Durham MvF vs TubbyFC

TubbyFc made the trip across the A66 to Durham to take on Durham MvF at the New Ferens Park

TubbyFc opened the scoring after 10 mins with a cross from Grayson found luke Bullock to tap in past the keeper. Graysons afternoon was cut short however after injuring himself when he crossed the ball. TubbyFc second goal come from a cross from Luke Bullock which come off  the Durham defender to the feet of Moynes who managed to sort his feet out to put into the goal. Shortly after the 20 min drinks break some Moynes passed onto O’connor who was breaking into the Box his riffled shot come off the keeper into the path of the on coming moynes to grab his second goal.

onto the second half and Durham MvF started to come back into the game after the half time team talk. 15 mins in TubbyFC were caught napping and the Durham striker put the ball beyond Bullock in the TubbyFC Goal. Tubby Fc grabbed another goal when Luke Bullock was brought down in the box . The Referee pointed to the spot. It was then Luke who was told to take the Pen from the Bench in the absense of Dave Mellon the usuall TubbyFc Pen Taker. Luke slotted past the keeper to make it 4 goals to TubbyFc. Moynes added a further goal to make it a hatrick for the afternoon after he half volleyed the ball from Luke Bullocks cross which wasnt dealt with by the Durham defence.

Durham grabbed a 2nd late on in the game with a spectacular effort from outside the box

A fantastic game all round with the return leg planned for 14th Sept @ St Benedicts RUFC

 

 

TubbyFC vs NHS International

Full time result from earlier this afternoon up at st Benedict’s Astro 

A very scrappy game over the 90 mins one own goal from Zack Henry separated the 2 sides at half time. 

Dave Mellon pulled it to all square from the pen spot before Cobie Mellon grab the winner in scrappy fashion but a wins a win so they say

The game is raising money for the breast screening unit at the West Cumberland Hospital an announcement of funds raised will be made in due course.
